frustrated I think I'll have a stab at a first entry...
First of all, I reckon this journal will be read mostly by my good friends over in Russia, Ukraine, and now it seems, Poland! (Hello Inna!) So, with that in mind...
If you remember me from Kharkiv (or Kharkov, Harkiv, Charkow or whatever the spelling is these days) then you'll be pleased to know that I haven't changed very much. I am still the same quirky English chap who came over for a month, rented a flat semi-illegally and hosted a variety of impromptu parties that proved to be quite popular. I look back on these times with fondness.
I'm now working in Newcastle for the time being as a technical consultant on a large government I.T project. I get to play around with the national insurance database, which is not as fun as it sounds.
In other news, I've just bought a plane ticket to Krakow, so Inna, I'll be seeing you soon!:0)

Cool :) I only use LJ to read Inna's posts.Now yours too :) How's life been anyway?Remember Ira, the one who also worked in Boiko's? She is now in Battle, UK. Coming back here for New Year's with her English bf - I will probably celebrate it with them :)

Well, I've been to Krakow twice already, I absolutely love this town!I was thinking of coming there to see Inna, and then maybe go to Prague...But I don't know anymore, I'm moving out from my parents and starting living separately real soon now. So I have to buy plenty of things for my new place. Of course I wish I could go, but...we'll see. I'm sure you're gonna enjoy there though :)
What do you do for a living? Are you still taking Russian classes?

This is where I'm going to get told off by various people - I haven't spoken any Russian since August :0(However, I'm now using LJ to read it, although finding a conversation partner in Newcastle is proving to be VERY difficult.
I now work as a "technical architect" - basically I help to design and build large I.T systems.
And yes, this means I'm a geek;0)

I work with geeks aka nerds as well :-P I've been teaching English to programmers for more than a year now, in two IT companies. That's very different to teaching kids - less nerves and negative emotions. But of course there are certain pros and cons in this job, too. Except the teaching I am also involved into telesales marketing project. A real crap, to be honest :))Hey, you can write me in Russian! Do you have Cyrillic letters on your keyboard?

Well.... I could, but I don't have any Cyrillic keys. I also type soooo slowly in Cyrillic it actually makes me cry watching myself.With regards to your swearing, you can say "It's really crap" or "It's a big pile of shite", "A real crap" doesn't really work I'm afraid :P

Well, let's just say I don't drink as much vodka right now - this thing called "work" gets in the way. It's a pain. I was fairly sensible in Sudak as well, but you'd have to double check that with Inna as well.I'm online at the same time as you! Haha!
